Moratorium Updates
Today the Town of Lansing posted a press release that there will be no public hearing on the moratorium at the November 19th meeting. The board plans on delaying this to solicit more input from the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Zoning Advisory Committee. They also will reconsider a resolution to withdraw the moratorium entirely. At their November 5th meeting they initially voted against this resolution 3-2. They have now decided to reconsider this resolution again.
What we know:
We called the Town Clerk’s office and were told that there will be there will still be privilege of the floor at the November 19th meeting. If you have anything to comment on regarding any topic related to the Town of Lansing, including the moratorium or TeraWulf’s plans for a data center in Lansing, there will be time to do so.
What we don’t know:
Will the re-vote on the resolution to withdraw the moratorium happen on November 19th? Will TeraWulf still present at the meeting? The agenda for the meeting should come out soon. Either the end of this week or the start of the next.
We’ll post updates as we learn more. For now, still plan to wear red and attend the November 19th meeting.
